God’s Start for the Day 


I awakened this morning 
I didn’t feel so great 
I didn’t want to get out of bed
For work I was willing to be late 
But God reminded me quickly 
In His own very special way 
That no matter how I felt 
I could give Him charge of my day 
So, I quickly began to thank Him 
For bringing me through the night
Thanking Him that no matter how I felt
I could trust Him to make my day right
By the time I was ready for work
My attitude had drastically turned around 
I felt renewed and ready for the day 
God’s grace I had surely found 
Thank God for His constant companionship
I don’t have to worry about my day 
I will continue to worship and praise Him 
Watch things unfold in His special way
