Joy Does Come WIth Morning

Ever had a “wake-up, get-up” morning
When everything felt so wonderful and right
Day had come with the shining sun
Removing all traces of the night
Everything seemed just extra-ordinaire
Not a bit of doom and gloom around
Smiles were coming from every direction
Love just seemed to abound
All through the day everything went well
The evening began to ease close by
All at once news became not so good
My body just crumbled with a sigh
But, I could see God’s great hand still
As in every circumstance, faithful is He
Though the feelings of my own kept trying to scream
God’s wonderful peace flowed continually to me
His voice thundered through the chaos
As only God’s quiet still voice can resound
“Fear not my child, It is I
He began to turn my feelings around
Thoughts of my Father and His great power
Came as the evening turned again to night
But, sleep came with the great assurance
The joy that comes with morning will make everything right
