We Have Got to Worship

Ever woke up in a “worship” mood
God is so real, great joy starts your day
Then evil voices start trying to interrupt
Trying to over-ride what God has to say
Thoughts start coming one after another
About how bad your day is going to be
Evil has got up and gone to work, too
Hoping he can keep you off bended knee
I had rather spend time with God
Keep my focus on things that are good
Giving God charge of every thought of mine
Letting my day with Him go just as it should
It doesn’t matter how loud evil screams
God”s quiet still voice will over-ride the noise
God will make sure I stay steady in my walk
Keep me filled with all His heavenly joys
So keep yourself in the “worship” mood
Let God show you how he will stay near
Evil can’t hand around real worship and praise
So for sure, it’s God’s voice you will hear
