We Are Never Hopeless

When our transportation
Has got us upside down
A “snake in the grass” is ready to strike
Causing me quite a frown
The buzzards are perched over my head
Wondering when I will be their meal
The ground has crumbled from beneath me
At least that is the way I feel
I’m stretched as far as I can be
Holding on a little to sanity’s side
I wonder what will happen
If I let go of my pride
When it seems all is gone
There’s nothing to fall back on now
I’m still holding to the last knot in the rope
Even tho I am wondering how
It seems that I have been through all this
In just the last day or so
But even hanging upside down
There’s one thing sure I know
GOD IS HOLDING ON TO ME
PROMISING TO NEVER LET GO!
