Big Deflated Balloon

Sometimes I feel like a giant balloon
that has been filled up with hot air
then instead of being tied and anchored
I am let go to bounce and sputter anywhere
first off this wall and then another
the air won't let me down
but, once I am empty with nothing inside
It is amazing where I might be found
I may be hanging in a tree
I could be dangling somewhere in mid air
or simply laying on the ground
like another piece of garbage with no one to care.
This is just like what happens
when Satan is allowed, our lives to fill
He lets us go when we are feeling so good
knowing its nothing but a short time thrill.
Spinning, spinning so out of control
listen to his laugh as he watches us fall
He doesnt care where or how we land
None of his intentions are good at all.
If we are filled with the love of God
If we are anchored and secure
Then our lives will blend right in God's great beauty
Being filled with Him is the only way to endure.
He will never let us go
He will keep us anchored strong
He will continually fill us with all it takes
To make sure we soar right home.
