You can have medicine in a bottle 
The advertisement says it never fails 
But if you don’t take the medicine 
You surely will maintain your ails 

You can have directions in detail 
To any place in the world you want to go 
But if you don’t put them into use 
Being lost is probably all you will know

Any professional person in the world 
Can hand you “professional” advice 
But if you decide you know more than them 
You will discard it never thinking twice 

God says He has everything you need 
Every direction you need enclosed in His Word 
But if you never pick it up and discover it 
Then it’s just as though you never heard 

Man shall not live by bread alone 
Bread can very quickly become stale 
If you live and eat and breathe all God says 
Then daily you will feast very well
