Allergic To God?

As I have aged I have become concerned
About the things that I can’t be around now
My very favorite perfume it seems forever
I can’t even stand close to it somehow
I quit planting flowers
I cut down all my trees
I don’t know what else to give up
All I do is cry and sneeze
Pollen, dust, and strange odors
Stale air, mold and mildew
Are some of the things that drive me crazy
And that is naming only a few
Thank goodness for Benadryl
It helps for a few days
Then I found something new
They call it Flonase
Then I tried Claritin and Allegra
It lasted a little while
Then I had to go to a drug called Zertex
To maintain any kind of smile
A friend of mine told me swearing
There is nothing like Sudafed
But that little bitty pill
Could’nt possibly clear my head
We even took up our pretty Rye grass
Replacing it with bought sod
I tried all the over the counter stuff
Most of it made me cry or nod
There is just one thing that I ask
Through these tears or as I nod
Please tell me that I wont ever, ever
Become allergic to my Father, God
