Confidence or Confusion

God is not the author of confusion
Then why do I feel so confused today
Since I got out of bed this very morning
Confusion of old problems has tried to rule my day
I have fought the battle against it
Confident that my God has His reasons
Teaching me not to live by my feelings
They can change as surely as the seasons
Confusion can only capture my thoughts
If my thoughts don’t stay in God’s control
I will praise Him in spite of the assault
Trusting Him to keep me confident and bold
Those things that try to make me worry
Are best ignored and left in God’s plan
I will focus my thoughts on His promises
And my name being written in the palm of His hand
I really have no reason to feel confused
For God has been with me for so long
If the evil one tries to sidetrack me
Then I just continue with a “praise my God, song”
Peace and contentment are great side effects
Of walking with God in every day I face
He will put an end to any temporary confusion
By pouring out buckets of His marvelous grace
God has so wisely prepared
His ways to deliver me today
That is no confusion in the way He works
I just confidently follow Him in His way
