I did a self examination  
I gave myself a sanity check
It  was a good evaluation 
Nothing seemed to be a wreck 
My faculties were up and running 
Memory was a little slow 
But, all in all it was functionable 
I was on the list for "up and go"
Power surges began to pop up 
Made some circuit changes, true 
Small things that seemingly didn't matter 
Noticed only by a certain few 
I realized  I  needed to go to a specialist 
Someone who knew a little more than me 
For the self evaluation I had made 
Didn't cover short-circuits you see
