Grateful or Really Grateful

I know we have all had one of those days
When we are grateful that all is well
But, we know that we should show it more
How grateful we are we should be willing to tell
We look around for all we can see
That brings a grateful thought to mind
It shouldn’t take very long at all
For that thought of gratefulness to find
It can be flowers blooming along the way
It can be children just playing along a street
It can be a rainbow shining through a cloud
All its colors shining so neat
It can be the sun shining
After we have had days of rain
It can be that you are not hurting
After you have had days and days of pain
It can be the smell of fresh cut grass
Or the sight of a garden weed free
There are many things that God shows to us
But what is attractive to you may not be to me
But I can tell you one thing now
That we can all be grateful for
A drive by the local funeral home
Seeing a totally empty parking lot, not one single car
